Calgary-Lougheed is named after one of the most prominent Albertans in the history of the province--the tenth Premier of Alberta--the Honourable Peter Lougheed. Lougheed’s devotion to improving health care, protecting Alberta’s natural resources, and advocating a stronger role for Alberta in national decision-making were instrumental in cementing his legacy in Alberta’s rich history.
Calgary-Lougheed is an ideal choice for families, and includes the communities of Woodbine, Woodlands, Evergreen, & Bridlewood. It is home to William Roper Hull Child and Family Services, which does invaluable work for Albertans; Spruce Meadows, the world's finest equestrian jumping facility; and a significant portion of one of the largest urban parks in North America--Fish Creek Provincial Park--which offers constituents numerous recreational opportunities.
Dave Rodney has been honoured to serve the fine constituents of Calgary-Lougheed since 2004.
